Privacy at VikingTools

Your files and text

Photos, QR content, pasted text and generated passwords are processed locally in your browser. VikingTools does not upload these inputs or store them in a user account. Downloads are saved only when you choose to download. Copy buttons write to your device clipboard.

Website and IP checks

Domain checks send the domain you enter to Google and Cloudflare DNS services. IP lookups send the requested address to ipwho.is. These providers receive your connection IP and may process requests under their own policies. Do not enter information you do not want those providers to receive.

Worldwide network tests

Ping and global DNS checks send your target and connection IP to Globalping. Its distributed probes perform the tests, and measurements and results are public. Do not enter private targets. Savings, loan, salary and rent calculations run locally in your browser and are not uploaded.

Maps

The boat map and IP location map load map tiles from OpenStreetMap. The tile provider receives your connection IP and the map areas you view. Selected points and entered trip prices are not uploaded by VikingTools.

Hosting and the shop

Cloudflare delivers these pages and may process network request data for delivery and security. The Adobe shop and checkout are provided by Payhip and its payment providers under their own privacy policies.

Advertising

The labelled advertising areas currently promote our own Adobe shop. These promotions do not load third-party advertising trackers. Paid Google advertisements are not currently active. Before enabling them, this notice will be updated and Google’s certified consent message will provide applicable choices.

Optional analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics records page views and basic visit information across the free tools. Its script is loaded only after you select Allow analytics. We do not send tool inputs, uploaded images, text, passwords, lookup targets or calculation amounts. Automatic form and interaction measurement is disabled. Page addresses sent to Google exclude query strings and fragments. Google receives connection and browser information and may process it outside Norway. Google’s privacy policy explains its processing.

Your analytics choice is stored in a first-party cookie for six months and shared across VikingTools subdomains. Analytics cookies also expire after six months. You can withdraw consent using Privacy settings in the footer; this removes analytics cookies and stops future collection on that page. The tools remain available if you decline.

Site management

Cloudflare stores public site configuration. The management key is only used to authorize owner changes, is never placed in URLs, and is not included in analytics.
